THIWUL ....gaplek…a good alternative food?

Wong Ndeso koyo aku iki mesti wes raasing meneh sing jenenge tiwul,mlh pangananku saben ndino,emboh yen sampeyan?

Have you heard bout gaplek before?
Gaplek is one of alternative food that very easy to find in some village in indonesia, especially in gunungkidul. Gunungkidul is famous village in indonesia that introduce this kind of food to the world. Maybe we can find in other country, the difference only the name. The benefit of gaplek than other food is gaplek can be saved for long time..and that time won’t change the taste.
How to make a gaplek?
Firstly, prepare some cassava..then peel it ouf, you will see the cassava in white color.
and the last..dry it on the sun for long time..until the cassafa to be dried. the dried cassava is named gaplek.

Gaplek can be saved for long time..it’s good to prepare if oneday we don’t have stock for rice..
Exactly, that’s need a process to make a real food from gaplek. A food that come from gaplek is called tiwul.
